Job Description Our client has an immediate need for three (3) Strategic Sourcing Managers in Birmingham, AL.
Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with the assigned LOB, identify the specific good and/or service to be acquired.
  • Lead various sourcing activities, including RFx as may be appropriate.
  • Lead negotiations for purchase of the item, including pricing and general terms and conditions.
  • Working with Legal, develop any required contracts.
Required Skills

Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • A minimum of five years experience in strategic sourcing and/or purchasing.
  • General understanding of subject matter in the assigned sourcing area.
  • Demonstrated negotiating skills and experience strongly preferred.
  • Good relationship management skills.
  • Basic understanding of legal concepts commonly used in purchasing related contracts.
  • Excellent written and organizational skills.
  • Skilled on applicable PC software systems, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
