| Job Description |
Our client has an immediate need for three (3) Strategic Sourcing Managers in Birmingham, AL. |
| Responsibilities |
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Working with the assigned LOB, identify the specific good and/or service to be acquired.
- Lead various sourcing activities, including RFx as may be appropriate.
- Lead negotiations for purchase of the item, including pricing and general terms and conditions.
- Working with Legal, develop any required contracts.

| Required Skills |
Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- A minimum of five years experience in strategic sourcing and/or purchasing.
- General understanding of subject matter in the assigned sourcing area.
- Demonstrated negotiating skills and experience strongly preferred.
- Good relationship management skills.
- Basic understanding of legal concepts commonly used in purchasing related contracts.
- Excellent written and organizational skills.
- Skilled on applicable PC software systems, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
