Position: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Job Overview:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of our automotive manufacturing plant. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with the maintenance team, production managers, and engineers to address maintenance issues promptly and keep the production process running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
– Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production machinery, conveyor systems, robotic equipment, and other manufacturing assets.
– Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to identify root causes of equipment breakdowns and malfunctions.
– Utilize technical manuals, diagnostic equipment, and hand tools to complete maintenance tasks effectively.
– Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute maintenance schedules that minimize downtime and production disruptions.
– Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on production.
– Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and spare parts inventory.
– Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
– Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
– Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest innovative solutions to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
– Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to industrial maintenance.
Qualifications:
– relevant technical certification or associate's degree preferred.
– Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
– Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
– Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
– Skilled in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
– Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues.
– Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
– Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
