Project Manager – Software

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the analysis and documentation of business processes, systems, and requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of business needs and the ability to translate them into actionable solutions. The Project Manager will work closely with the IT team and across the organization to drive process improvements and support the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the gathering and documentation of detailed business requirements for complex projects.
- Analyze and evaluate existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
- Develop comprehensive business process models, workflows, and documentation.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with internal staff and eventually our licensees to elicit requirements and drive consensus.
- Create detailed use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented accurately.
- Lead the testing efforts by creating test plans, test cases, and managing the execution of tests.
- Analyze and interpret data to inform business decisions and identify trends.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, including senior management.
- Mentor and guide junior business analysts in best practices and methodologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis processes and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Advanced understanding of business process modeling and data analysis techniques.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Jira, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a business analysis role launching new software or related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in project management or leading project teams.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions. On occasion, the individual must be able to do moderately demanding physical activity such as handling and opening boxes weighing 35-40 pounds, standing and walking extensively throughout the day.
