Hamilton-Ryker’s President and CEO, Kelly McCreight named Chair of Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board.

Franklin, TN, December 2019 – McCreight, along with 16 other prominent business leaders in Tennessee will comprise Tennessee Chamber’s Board for 2020.  His appointment as Chair, furthers his vision of using Workforce Development to aid in business and economic growth.  As the oldest and most prominent statewide business trade associations in Tennessee, the Chamber is one of the best ways through which McCreight can carry out the mission of positively impacting business and manufacturing throughout the state.

“I am humbled and excited to serve as Chair of the board of directors for the Tennessee Chamber, and look forward to building upon the great work of prior board chairs,” commented McCreight.

This is not the first time McCreight has led a trade association’s Board, nor is it his first time working with government to further a major cause. During 2018, McCreight chaired the American Staffing Association’s Board of Directors and helped increase the success of the Staffing industry – he served in various officer positions since his election in 2013.  McCreight also appeared at a hearing of the U.S. House of Representatives Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access in June of 2018. The purpose of the hearing was to discuss innovative solutions small business owners have developed to address skills gaps.

McCreight added, “Using my previous experience, I will provide significant leadership and input into Chamber operations and our annual legislative and policy agenda, and also plan on working with our state elected leaders to continue Tennessee’s trend as a top state in the nation in business growth.”

McCreight began his career in Staffing back in 1993, when he joined Hamilton-Ryker as a Staffing Specialist.  Over the last 25 years, he worked his way up through the company, which his father, Wayne McCreight founded in 1971.  In addition to leading Hamilton-Ryker now, he owns the School of Rock in both Nashville and Franklin. Even with all of this professional responsibility, he makes time to be with his wife Angie and his two children, Sean and Emily.
