In this position, you'll be responsible for accurately setting up brake presses, ensuring precision and quality in every part produced. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in setting up brake presses, familiarity with various fixtures and hand tools, and the ability to interpret part prints and work center layouts. Proficiency in using measurement tools such as micrometers, squares, Vernier calipers, and other inspection devices is essential. A keen eye for detail and the ability to determine proper steel gauges through measurements are critical for success.
Preferred skills include knowledge of different types of measuring devices and a strong understanding of work order documentation. Candidates should have a background in metalworking or manufacturing and hands-on experience with setup procedures.
Other requirements include the ability to read and interpret work instructions thoroughly and to work efficiently while maintaining safety standards. A background in technical training or certifications related to machine setup is advantageous.
