Job Title: Quality Technicians
Location: Midway, KY
Shift: 2nd shift Mon- Fri 4:00pm – 12:30am Overtime is mandatory
Pay: $15.50 p/hr
What you'll do:
- Quality inspecting of headliners for vehicles
- Performing quality inspections on products using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Aid in the development of corrective and preventive actions for internal and external quality concerns
- Support customer quality systems initiatives
- Assist Quality Engineers with customer and supplier quality concerns as needed.
- Understand the overall quality specifications and standards.
- Follow process control and inspection procedures.
- Encourage to make recommendations for system improvements.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes.
- Reading gauges and measuring tools
- Stand for long periods of time in a manufacturing environment
- General problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to train team members on quality requirements
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
What we need from you:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or over
- Must comply with client's substance abuse & background policy
- Must have steady work history
- Must have general knowledge of the automotive quality standards (ISO 9001 standard).
- Must have experience with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Must have basic computer skills in Word and Excel.
- Must have steel toed shoes
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
