Priority Personnel is hiring an Area Coordinator for a manufacturing company located in San Marcos, TX.

Pay rate: $23/hour with a $3/hour shift differential

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri/3:30pm-11:45pm

Job Duties:

  • Provide and execute on Lean methodologies to achieve team goals.
  • Work closely with Cell Leaders to ensure goals are accomplished.
  • Coordinate teams in planning daily work assignments (product, process, or complementary).
  • Provide technical assistance and production support as needed.
  • Participate in goal management activities (quality, cost reductions, safety).
  • Provide and coordinate training for new employees and ensure training checklists are completed and uploaded in system.
  • Coordinate cross training with other work areas.
  • Coordinate short-term work assignments, overtime, ETO, and Line of Balance (LOB) per Cell Leader guidance.
  • Monitor and report on quality and production goals.
  • Ensure MRRs and Case records are completed accurately, provide production details to Engineering/Quality, and help drive investigations and closures.
  • Ensure daily stockroom material requirements are planned and requisitions submitted to prevent work delays.
  • Support on-time engine set shipments by driving closure of MRRs/Case records and ensuring material availability.
  • Assist with Lean initiatives and Root Cause Corrective Action activities.
  • Attend production meetings as needed.
  • Perform safety audits and promote EHS compliance.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with Area Housekeeping plan.
  • Attend Lean/Six Sigma or other assigned training.
  • Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance (PM) activities.
  • Support and coach continuous improvement initiatives. Work on parts when necessary to support production.
  • Perform other duties as assigned..

  • Three years’ experience in leading projects, training, acting area coordinator or area specialist.
  • Strong organizational Skills; Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
