Park Gate Attendant
WEEKEND SUMMER OPPORTUNITY
Priority Personnel is hiring for Park Gate Attendants in San Marcos for the weekends throughout the summer.
$15/hour
JOB SUMMARY
Performs customer service duties at a San Marcos managed access entrance points during the summer season. Serves as a ticket scanner for patrons entering the park and provides directions for purchasing tickets online. Works alongside Park Ambassadors and the City Marshals Department. This position does not enforce park rules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Staffs park gate and scans digital or printed tickets for entry.
2. Provides basic customer assistance, including directing visitors to online ticket purchase options.
3. Communicates clearly and courteously with the public to ensure smooth entry flow.
4. Attends staff meetings and job-related training sessions as required.
DECISION MAKING
This position works under general supervision. Uses judgment to determine when to refer issues or concerns to Park Ambassadors or City Marshals/Park Rangers.
Does not enforce park rules or handle compliance situations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Customer service experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to operate a mobile ticket-scanning device (training provided).
JOB DIMENSIONS
Requires effective oral communication skills and the ability to interact courteously and professionally with a high volume of park visitors. Must be able to provide clear directions and maintain a positive and welcoming presence at the gate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed outdoors in hot temperatures, sun exposure, high humidity, and varying weather conditions. Subject to standing for extended periods, walking, talking, hearing, vision, lifting, carrying, and general gate-area movement. May experience noise from large crowds and park activity.
WORK SCHEDULE
Begin Saturday June 27th possible Friday afternoon before that for a short training session)

June: 27, 28
July: 3,4,5,11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26
August: 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 22, 23, 29, 30
September: 4, 5, 6, 7
-Currently, 11am-7pm but that could change slightly.
